In 2025, the S-bahn train is expected to connect Quickborn directly to the main train station at Hamburg Hauptbahnhof without any change of trains, making it more accessible than ever.

Quickborn is surrounded by beautiful landscapes. The Himmelmoor, the largest raised bog in Schleswig-Holstein, is located northwest of the town and has been used for peat mining for a long time. South of Quickborn is the Holmmoor, a nature preserve that is about 110 ha large.
