Quickborn is a small town located in the district of Pinneberg, in the state of Schleswig-Holstein, Germany. Quickborn is situated just 18 km north of the centre of Hamburg and lies on the A7 between Hamburg and Neumünster. The town is easily accessible via the Hamburg-Altona–Neumünster railway, which connects it to the AKN railway and buses of the Hamburger Verkehrsverbund. Additionally, Quickborn is located just 6 km from the Hamburg Airport. In 2025, the S-bahn train is expected to connect Quickborn directly to the main train station at Hamburg Hauptbahnhof without any change of trains, making it more accessible than ever.

Quickborn is surrounded by beautiful landscapes. The Himmelmoor, the largest raised bog in Schleswig-Holstein, is located northwest of the town and has been used for peat mining for a long time. South of Quickborn is the Holmmoor, a nature preserve that is about 110 ha large.
