Welcome to Mokotów, a bustling city quarter of Warsaw, the capital of Poland. With its dense population, Mokotów is home to many foreign embassies and thriving companies. But despite its urban atmosphere, Mokotów offers plenty of green spaces and parks, including the sprawling Mokotów Field. The area has been populated since the early Middle Ages, but was only incorporated into Warsaw in early 1916. The origins of the name Mokotów are unclear, but it is thought to have come from the name of a German owner of the village. The majority of the area was redeveloped in the 1930s in the modernist style, and most of the buildings survived World War II, making it one of the few pre-war areas of Warsaw that is still intact.

Mokotów is divided into several distinct areas, each with its own character and charm. Stary Mokotów and Wyględów are particularly popular for their high-end residential real estate market, ranking among the most expensive in Warsaw. Służewiec Przemysłowy is the only lightly industrialised part of the district and is known for its modern office buildings.

Additionally, while the following subdivisions have no formal, administrative status, they are recognized in everyday life: Górny Mokotów (Upper Mokotow), Stary Mokotów, Wierzbno, Ksawerów, Wyględów, Królikarnia, Służew, Służewiec, Służewiec Przemysłowy, and Dolny Mokotów (Lower Mokotow).

Mokotów offers plenty of activities and attractions for visitors to enjoy. The Mokotów Prison is a popular spot for history buffs, while the Mokotów Field is a great place to relax and soak up some sun.
